Written about the hot springs in Amukarr, after Iniea had spent the evening with one of the village families.
Steaming waters, drawn up from the earth
From under earth, where they were heated
Heated hot, then pushed bubbling upward
Quiet murmers at the surface of the waters.
On the surface of the rippling waters
Rippling waters full of starlight
Starlit waters, hot and steaming
Steaming waters, drawn from under earth
From under earth the waters rise to starlight
Draw me underneath the starlit waters
Starlit waters knowing earth and sky
Knowing sky, what has come and what will be
What will be on earth and in darkened waters.
Hide me under, keep your peace, waters still full of starlight.
