Recent Years

 Starting in Spring of 459.

Recap of recent years (mostly stuff you know):

Winter 457: The slum or bazaar section outside the walls of Sencankarr, Thorinta's Field, collapsed into a giant sinkhole, from which emerged a warband of Kodihan who had somehow made their way beneath the city. They were resisted, and eventually defeated, by the so-called "Heroes of Sencankarr", a group of adventurers who resisted them until the Royal Guard could be called up to deal with the threat.

The Year of Blood (458)

Spring of 458 saw violence erupt in the Leopard Isles when Mother Zishunei, Abbess of the Convent of the Ram of Dawn, was assassinated. Some claim she was killed by associates of Tengelbur Silverhand, others by agents of King Onwae, still others by both working in concert. Shortly thereafter, Sir Reilivar, an important elector of the Leopard Isles, died amid a great festival he was holding on his island estate three days east of Dlafi Klorpeim. In the north, Onerama the Bald, governor of Cheixacha, is said to be mustering an army at Ralakarr. Some say it is for a campaign against the Nalshbori of the Serth Hatama, others that he intends to march into the Royal Wood. None can say for certain, but all agree that the kingdom stands on the brink of open war.

You'll be starting just outside of Cheykor, in the North, at the Crescent Moon Inn, where you've been told to seek out the proprietor, a retired Weixranbori soldier named Sergeant Abar.
